— THE SHORT ANSWER

Alfresco and Artisan are two American-made grill lines built by the same legendary manufacturer. Alfresco is the innovation flagship — a premium, restaurant-grade grill famous for cutting-edge add-ons like the Versa Power cooker, Sear Zone infrared, and genuinely unique refrigeration and cooler systems. It competes with Twin Eagles, with a different philosophy: where Twin Eagles engineers for raw heat and fuel efficiency, Alfresco engineers the entire outdoor kitchen. Artisan is Alfresco's accessible-premium line — the same commercial 304 stainless, heli-arc welded build at a friendlier price, comparable to Delta Heat. Both are made in the USA. HL Posey Builders is an authorized dealer and installer serving Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, and all of Southwest Florida since 2007.

Alfresco Builds Options for the Whole Kitchen — Not Just the Fire

Alfresco has been led by commercial-kitchen veterans since the 1980s, and it shows. This is a grill line defined by what it invented — and by everything it lets you build around it.

ALFRESCO'S PHILOSOPHY

Engineered Around Innovation & Add-Ons

Alfresco pours its energy into cutting-edge components and a complete outdoor-kitchen ecosystem: the Versa Power cooker, Sear Zone infrared, integrated rotisserie, an under-mount smoker with a dedicated burner, and refrigeration nobody else makes. It's the most versatile luxury kitchen you can build.

How It Differs From Twin Eagles

Eeat vs. Versatility

Twin Eagles pours its engineering into raw heat and fuel efficiency — the purist's fire. Alfresco pours its engineering into range and innovation — the complete culinary system. Neither is "better"; they're built for different cooks.

— Built In, Built Right

Coastal Durability & Installation

A luxury grill deserves a proper install. Here's how we make sure an Alfresco or Artisan lasts in Southwest Florida.

Will they hold up in Florida's salt air?

Both lines are built from commercial-grade 304 stainless with heli-arc welded seams and no mechanical fasteners — a construction standard designed to resist the corrosion that eats cheaper grills. As always, we seal, drain, and ventilate the island so moisture can't collect where it corrodes.

Commercial 304 · welded · sealed · vented

Can they be built in or installed under a lanai?

Yes — both are designed for built-in outdoor kitchens, and both offer insulated jackets for installation next to combustible surfaces. A solid-roof lanai needs a properly sized, ducted vent hood and correct clearances. We handle the cutout, gas, ventilation, clearances, and permitting.

— COMMON QUESTIONS

Alfresco & Artisan Grill  FAQs

  • What's the difference between Alfresco and Artisan grills?

They're made by the same manufacturer in the USA. Alfresco is the innovation flagship — restaurant-grade, with cutting-edge add-ons like the Versa Power cooker, Sear Zone infrared, and unique refrigeration. Artisan is the accessible-premium line with the same commercial 304 welded construction at a friendlier price. Think of Alfresco as comparable to Twin Eagles and Artisan as comparable to Delta Heat.

  • Are Alfresco and Artisan grills made in the USA?

Yes. Both lines are designed and manufactured in the United States from commercial-grade 304 (18-8) stainless steel, with heli-arc hand-welded seams and no mechanical fasteners. Artisan is built by Alfresco, so it shares the same construction standard and American craftsmanship.

  • How does Alfresco compare to Twin Eagles?

Both are USA-made luxury grills, but they emphasize different things. Twin Eagles focuses its engineering on raw heat and fuel efficiency — a purist's fire. Alfresco focuses on innovation and versatility: specialty burners, an integrated smoker, smart controls, and a whole ecosystem of refrigeration and add-ons. Choose Twin Eagles for maximum heat, Alfresco for the most complete, cutting-edge kitchen.

  • How does Artisan compare to Delta Heat?

Both are premium-value USA-made grills at a similar price point. Artisan, built by Alfresco, offers commercial 304 welded construction, an optional infrared sear burner, and a Professional or American Eagle series depending on budget. We carry both and will walk you through the differences so you can choose with confidence.

  • What makes Alfresco's add-ons and refrigeration special?

Alfresco invented many features other brands later copied. Standouts include the Versa Power cooker (400–65,000 BTU, handles a 100-quart stockpot), the Sear Zone infrared burner, and refrigeration nobody else makes — the only built-in under-grill refrigerator, a convertible fridge that holds a half keg, and the "Fire and Ice" refrigerated cart. It's the most complete outdoor-kitchen ecosystem we carry.

  • What sizes do Alfresco and Artisan grills come in?

Alfresco built-in grills come in 30″, 36″, 42″, and 56″ — including the largest professional grill in the category. Artisan comes in 26″, 32″, 36″, and 42″, available built-in or on a freestanding cart. We'll match the size to how you cook and your island design.

  • What's the difference between Artisan's Professional and American Eagle series?

The Professional series adds electric features — 110V electronic ignition, an infrared rear-rotisserie burner, halogen work lights, and blue LED knob lighting — for up to 75,000 BTU of cooking power. The American Eagle series has no electrical features, making it more affordable and lower-maintenance, while keeping the same USA-made 304 welded build.

  • What is the warranty, and can these be installed under a lanai?

Artisan carries a 10-year warranty on stainless components and 15 years on burners; Alfresco is backed by strong lifetime coverage on major components (terms vary by part — we'll confirm current details). Both install as built-ins and offer insulated jackets for combustible-adjacent installations. Under a solid-roof lanai you'll need a properly sized, ducted vent hood — we handle the cutout, gas, ventilation, clearances, and permitting.
